As part of the More Allied Health Service (MAHS) program funded by the Department of Health and Ageing, MGPN employs two part time Asthma Nurses to deliver Asthma Education services to rural communities within the region. Asthma Nurses deliver services from GP surgeries in Leeton, Hanwood, Jerilderie, Berrigan, Finley and Tocumwal and can be accessed via GP referral.
The MAHS program funds approximately 250 occasions of service in Asthma Education per year and is available at no cost to patients.
